Wisdom teeth commonly face surgical extraction because they become impacted and do not completely erupt into the mouth due to lack of space. Impacted wisdom teeth are harder to clean due to their irregular surfaces, leading to trapped food particles and bacteria.
This goes on to cause infection, severe toothaches or other dental problems for many patients. In such cases, it’s better to remove your wisdom tooth sooner than later. If left unaddressed, an impacted wisdom tooth could even damage surrounding molars and jawbone through cavities or cyst formation.
We offer sedation dentistry for wisdom tooth removal and pride ourselves in helping patients have a comfortable and painfree experience.Contact Our Clinic

Dr. Serena combines her love of working with children with her expertise in paediatric dentistry. She believes in prevention of oral diseases through educating parents on oral hygiene and diet, and through establishing good daily dental routines for kids. Her goal for every child is to make their visit fun and relaxed. She feels most fulfilled when her patients have healthy, cavity free teeth, as she believes this will provide them a strong springboard to continue to care for their oral health into adulthood and old age. After all, eating is one of the greatest pleasures in life! She takes a holistic approach to dental care, as she appreciates the nuances in treatment options depending on a child’s overall health, development, behaviour, and social factors. In her free time, she loves to read, explore different cultures and cuisines, and to be out in nature – scuba diving, hiking, and exploring the world.
Dr. Serena has received extensive training in paediatric sedation, behaviour management, general anaesthesia, paediatric medicine, and interceptive orthodontics. Dr. Serena also enjoyed working at the San Ysidro Health Centre in San Diego, where she focused on treating children with special needs.
